Our client discovered a few weeks before a national advertising campaign for their product that there was a potential patent violation. The holder of the patent was unwilling to license the product. We worked with the client to engineer changes in the product, 50,000 units of which were in our warehouse. The change involved disassembly, cutting parts precisely, drilling new holes, re-assembling the product, and putting it in new packaging. We had two weeks to assemble and train the crew and to complete the project. It was completed on time and on budget—helping the client fulfill their promises to the retailer.
